What type of agency is your company looking for? Grange is looking for appointments with established agencies who have a proven track record of profitability and growth with their current markets. In addition, we are seeking agencies that are committed to using automation as a means to effectively communicate with the company and to serve the needs of their customers.
What are your premium volume requirements? Volume requirements vary by agency and by geographic location. In general, our profit sharing contract requires a minimum volume requirement of $50,000 for the first calendar year and $100,000 for the second and succeeding years.
Are you currently doing any niche marketing programs? Grange does not offer a true "niche" marketing program. From a commercial standpoint, Grange offers a broad list of classifications that address the needs of small to medium type commercial risks.
What is your company's most aggressive line of business? All lines of business are open at Grange. We have seen excellent growth in personal, commercial and life business here in Illinois and want to continue growing, while ensuring that our business remains profitable.
Do you use credit scoring? Yes. Credit scoring is utilized from a personal lines standpoint on new business only.
Do you currently download/upload with your agencies? Grange currently uploads business through Applied Systems and SIS (Strategic Insurance Software). We support industry standard download with most agency management systems to provide daily updates for personal lines policy information. In addition, Grange has developed a web-based product for agencies that have Internet access. This product allows the ability to interface with the company and is free to the agency.
What methods do you use to distribute your insurance products? Grange is 100% committed to distributing our products through the independent agency system. There are no other means of distribution besides independent agents.
