Experience Illinois in all its glory at the “Celebrate Illinois” reception, Thursday, October 2. The evening begins with a performance by The Second City Touring Company. With over 50 years of improv under its belt, The Second City has set the standard in sketch comedy. Following the performance, attendees are invited to sample wine and foods from all regions of the state at the Celebrate Illinois Reception in the Grand Ballroom. This epicurean tour of Illinois includes Chicago style pizza and hot dogs, Decatur Jazz Festival favorites poor boys and fish tacos, Springfield’s own horseshoe and much, much more.

Ponder the big political questions on the horizon with help of two nationally known political pundits. The PIIAI General Session will feature Paul Begala, former council to President Clinton and Democratic strategist on CNN’s “The Situation Room” and Robert Novak, conservative political commentator and nationally syndicated columnist. Begala and Novak will examine imminent critical issues and share their predictions on the upcoming Presidential and Congressional races.
